The regular season league fixtures will all be finished as of 10th April 2022, but there is still all to play for for every team!

Firstly, there will be no matches on Easter Sunday.

LEAGUE PLAY OFFS

From Group A, Dunvant & Three Crosses Green and CKSV have qualified for the Play Offs. It is still very close in Group B with either Merlins Bridge, Mumbles or Rhos going to join Ynystawe in the Play Offs.

The team finishing top in each Group will have home advantage so it will be:

Dunvant Greens v Mumbles/Merlins Bridge/Rhos
Ynystawe v CKSV

These matches will take place on Sunday 24th April. If it is equal after 90 minutes then extra time of 30 minutes shall be played followed by penalties.

The League Play Off Final will take place on 8th May 2022. This will be part of our Finals Day with the Plate Final played followed by the League Play Off Final. The venue is to be confirmed.

PLATE COMPETITION

There will be 4 rounds to this competition. This is for the teams that are not in the Play Offs.

Round 1 will take place on Wednesday 13th April. We won't know the line up until after the final round of matches this weekend as it depends on the result between Garden Village v Rhos, but generally those placed 3rd and 4th in their leagues will have a bye in this round and the matches will be A5 v B8, A6 v B7, B5 v A8 and B6 v B7. The first listed will be the home team. Dunvant Yellow will also have a bye in the first round due to West End withdrawing late from the League.

As it stands the First Round (on 13/4/2022) is:

Baglan (H) v Glynneath (A)
Clydach (H) v ~ the lower finishing of Cwrt Herbert & Garden Village ~ (A)
~ the higher finishing of Cwrt Herbert & Garden Village ~ (H) v Pontardawe (A)

Kick off will be 6pm and if equal after normal time then the match will have to go straight to penalties due to the light.

The 2nd Round will be on 24th April. The teams finishing A3, A4, B3 and B4 will be the home teams and there will be a draw made to determine their opponents. As these will be Sunday fixtures, extra time and penalties will be played if required.

The Plate semi-finals will take place on 1st May. A draw will be made to determine the fixtures and who will have home advantage. Again as these will be Sunday fixtures, extra time and penalties will be played if required.

The Plate Final will take place on 8th May. This will be part of our Finals Day with the Plate Final played followed by the League Play Off Final. The venue is to be confirmed.

CUP FINAL

Depending on which teams are in the Plate and which teams are in the Play-Offs, this will either be played on 1st May or 15th May. The Cup Final is between Ynystawe and Mumbles Rangers. If Mumbles are in the Play Offs it can be played on 1st May, otherwise it will have to be 15th May due to the possibility that Mumbles will have a Plate match that day.

The Cup Final will be played at a neutral venue with extra time and penalties played if required.

So keep an eye on the fixtures as the matches for 13th April will only be able to be posted to Comet late in the day, but at least the clubs involved in those fixtures are now aware that they have matches that day.

Lastly, for teams that don't have matches on a given weekend, then feel free to arrange a friendly with one of the other teams. Please let me know if you are going to arrange a friendly.

Kind regards
