Concerns have been received over the number of games and we acknowledge these concerns and will monitor as appropriate.

This is unfortunate but has been forced on the league by withdrawals so we hope that all clubs will support this decision

Any concerns can be raised to the committee through Gary Thomas (07925 142661 / garythomas38@sky.com)

League Announcement

It is with regret that we have to announce yet another withdrawal from the West Wales Youth League and, in particular, League A

We were notified by Seaside AFC on Sunday evening that they can no longer maintain a team in our competition so that, together with Llangennech's withdrawal, leaves League A with just 5 teams.

At last night's Management Committee meeting, at the Globe Inn on Monday 3rd December, we reviewed the various options for the future fixtures for this season and a decision was made to merge League A and B with immediate effect.

As it stands League A consists of 5 sides (8 games per side) and League B consists of 7 sides (12 games per side) . With the merger this will mean we have 1 League with a total of 12 Teams which provides 22 fixtures per side.

We are fully aware that this is a tall order in terms of completing the season but we felt there was no other real alternatives so we now hope that there are no future withdrawals and that we can continue fixtures through to the end of April, and possibly into early May, to complete all fixtures.

We will also look to use midweek games on Thursdays from April onward.

So what's next ..... December fixtures will continue as per plan and perhaps January (with some tweaks). Gary Thomas will also review and add the merged fixtures and liaise with the League Website company to amend the website. There may be some hiccups on the way but we will try to keep them to a minimum.

No decision as yet has been made in respect to the end of season play off final.
