WWYL League Round Up - Round One

By Gary Thomas

A goal bonanza to kick off the season in the WWYL

The season kicked off in the West Wales Youth League in pretty miserable weather but thankfully all fixtures went ahead with Pontarddulais Town Blacks (Adran Tawe) scoring 8 in a high scoring game against Skewen who scored 4 in reply. Meanwhile, Pontardawe Town (Adran Cothi) hit 7 against Pontarddulais Town Whites.

There were hat tricks galore with Max Evans (Pontardawe Town), Kian McCarthy (Penlan), Tyler Morgan (Skewen) and James Lord (Ragged School) claiming the match balls in their respective games

Meanwhile, in the FAW Youth Cup, two of our sides St Josephs and West End were scheduled to play in the qualifying round. West End's game was postponed whilst St Josephs went down 3-1 at Penydarren BGC

We will attempt to do a weekly update so ask all clubs to send in their match reports or photographs also.
