WWYL League Structure Announced

With 16 teams entered the league management committee decided to proceed with the structure as per previous seasons which is to have 2 Leagues and end of season play offs

This means all clubs will get 14 fixtures plus cup games. If the weather is good to us we will also have the Plate tournament and, if there is a miracle, we could even extend the season with additional games.

There is always the risk of withdrawals but we hope that all clubs will show commitment to the season ahead and this fantastic league of ours

Games will commence on Sunday 9th September

The next step is that Fixture Secretary, Gary Thomas, will provide fixtures in the coming days and each club will have 7 days to amend fixtures or ask for free dates. If a club wants to amend a fixture that clubs should speak to the opponent as well.

Once the 7 days is complete, and all amendments made, the league fixtures will be complete and all further amendments will be subject to the league rules which can be found on this website.

Finally, we would ask all clubs to continue to register players and get the forms to our Registration Secretary Ken Grayson as soon as possible. Failure to do so could prevent players from starting the season. We would also remind all clubs of the 5 day ruling in respect of the processing of registration forms.
