WWYL Revised League Structure Update

During the last week we have received notification from 2 teams, Bryn Rovers and Mumbles Rangers, who have informed us that they are unable to field sides and as a result have withdrawn from the league.

Unfortunately both teams were drawn in League B so we as a League Management Committee now have to review the position in respect of the other 14 teams to work out the best way forward

Following a meeting today the League Management Committee has decided to retain the 2 x League approach and this means each League is reduced to 7 teams. As a result a draw was made and Tumble United have transferred to League B

Each team will now have a 12 league games (minimum) plus cup games. Depending on the season ahead in terms of weather and games played the Management Committee has ideas around extending the fixtures, perhaps using the model used in the Welsh Premier League, but this will be discussed by the committee with all clubs in due course.

The negative impact is that one team will miss out on fixtures each weekend in both leagues but that will give, perhaps, the opportunities for friendlies between both those sides

We have now therefore agreed all fixtures and the website company has been informed of the structure to build the leagues. Once built, we hope on Friday, I will be able to add the fixtures for the season to the website
